Something Different | Anchorage Portrait Photography

15 Dec

It’s been a while since I photographed any kids over the age of five. Mostly I’m dealing with the younger crowd. Imagine my surprise when I had the fortune of photographing two teens and their mother. The most amazing part to me was when I asked them to smile or “look here” and they did… and they held it! YAY! I must have clicked off 20 frames of the same photo because in the time span where a toddler would have 50 different poses, this brother and sister actually could hold onto one perfect smiling frame. These kids were great to work with and very photogenic. My three year old even got into the act by imitating me with his Burger King camera and by helping to pose the kids all on his own! It’s amazing what they notice when you don’t think they are paying attention!

The Classics | Anchorage Portrait Photography

15 Dec

It’s back to the studio time.

I recently had the opportunity to photograph two adorable sisters for the first time. As usual with babies and toddlers, there was a lot of action; jumping, laughing and silly faces. I was quite surprised amidst all the activity to find the following photos included in the batch. Their beautiful, tranquil expressions and the classic lines of each sister looking in different direction in the first photo really grabbed my attention.

Catching Up! Has it really been over a month since I posted! | Anchorage Portrait Photography

Remembering the fall!

It’s totally white outside now. What fun to look back at all those beautiful colors! This is one of my favorite families! The girls are always so patient with me clicking away non-stop. It also helps that they are just too cute when they are hamming it up for the camera!
